Safari "Button" on toolbar for Gmail Doesn't work

Hi -

I had a button on my toolbar that took me directly to my gmail but - poof! - it's gone. Now I don't know how to get it back? Help, please! Thank you!

This isn't a built in feature and must have been an extension. If you go to Safari > Preferences... > Extensions, is there a Gmail related one there? If so, make sure it's enabled.

Safari, gmail, etc.

There's a few related ones there, but nothing just plain old gmail. I also looked at Safari--preferences, etc. but there was no way to enable?

just to be clear are you talking about a button to click on your toolbar while safari is running? or are you talking about a short cut in your dock you can click?

Go to Gmail. Press command-D. Tell it to save to the toolbar.
It's just a bookmark. In the toolbar.

Thank you, Sir, but that works for the Bookmarks. I am trying to get a Toolbar button, not a bookmark, to click for Gmail. I've had one for years but now it's disappeared.

No. These are Buttons with pictorial representations on them of their function.
