Running Software from a hard drive

I currently have cracked version of Logic and Final Cut Pro on my MBP... tomorrow I need to hand my mac to the apple store for a new logic board to be fitted and I was thinking of removing them before I hand it in.

I have two questions:

Should I leave the cracked software on my MBP whilst it's being serviced?

Can I run the applications directly from the back ups on my External Hard Drive?

Any responses would be greatly appreciated.
