Hi everyone, I have a 2015 15" retina macbook pro which has bloated batteries, but the machine otherwise works.
Until I can get it repaired, I've disconnected the battery in the machine. I thought I would be able to run the machine straight off the charger, but it seems that this is not the case.
If I try to do so, the machine boots to the login screen, but once I enter the password and hit enter, the loading bar progresses but then the machine reboots itself before reaching the desktop. As a sanity check, I plugged the battery back in and the machine booted fine. Is running straight off of the charger not supported? Thanks
