I need a router I have a MacBook and a Dell desktop. I've been looking at routers and really want an Airport Extreme but that piece of equipment is just so expensive. What kind of Router's do you use? What router would you recommend?

-Thank You.

I've used products from D-Link and Linksys and they've been great to me. I don't really like Netgear, and Belkin has come out with some interesting products.

Linksys WRT45G V2.0 have been using it for 5 years now. i used it with a wired compaq and an ibook, an imac and ibook, macbook and ibook and imac, and finally 2 macbooks and an imac. never had any problems with it.

ps i also used it with a compaq ipaq with a pcmcia slot with a wireless pcmcia card.

I just bought a Linksys N after losing my patience with a brand new Belkin N1 router. The Linksys N works perfectly with my MBP. I never lose a connection and I can surf the net securely - something I wasn't able to do at all with the crappy Belkin.
