I am going to be giving my dad one of my old MacBooks and would like to have ready to set everything up like it was new. Is there an easy way to remove my profile (the only one) and let him set Snow Leopard up like it was new from apple? I know I can do a fresh install and then let him take over, but I have programs and apps already installed and updated.

You could add another User - Admin - for him but you get to set the name and password.
Then u can enable 'Fast User Switching' in Login Options then log out of your User - Apple Menu - and into his then go into accounts select your User and click minus at base of panel and your goneburger!! To get all the welcoming biso in the official lead in i believe you have to do a fresh install, add user data and all updates etc.
