The site rich.maths.org uses URLs like this for its particular items: rich.maths.org/6349 .
When I find new items on the site, identified by name, e.g. 'A question of scale', the full URL is not displayed in the appropriate box and therefore I cannot find the number code of a new item.
My browser is Safari and I've tried both Google and Bing as my search engine.
How can I find the number?

Many thanks.

Click in the URL box and the full URL will replace what is there. It's an attempt by Apple to make it less cryptic when you go to some URL that is horrendously long and unreadable. Safari shows the "name" of the site instead of the URL. But clicking in the URL address box triggers it back to the full URL.
