I'm seeing many adverts on social media for Reticare screen covers which are claimed to protect ones retinas from damage caused by blue light. What are members thoughts on this?

thoughts on this?

I can reduce the blue input in my Mac's Settings > Display where I can control Brightness, True Tone and, via Advanced and "Night Shift", I can set up how much blue light I want during the day and during darkness hours.

So my very personal view is that it's a waste of money buying "Reticare". Others may likely differ:);)

There is ample research that indicates an excess of screen time will lead to dry eyes, headaches, and all that. Playing with the settings as Ian suggested and reducing screen time and taking frequent breaks helps.

It might not hurt to look at this screen depending on the price..

I went to have my frames repaired on my reading glasses and during the conversation, i mentioned that i get discomfort very occasionally in my eyes when on the computer and he mentioned the 20, 20, 20 rule, which is simply;
Every twenty minutes, you stop for twenty seconds, and look at something at least twenty feet away.
So when possible (and i remember) i set my iPod timer to twenty minutes. i add rapid blinking to the first ten seconds.

Additionally i assume everyone knows about ;
Prefs/Display / Night Shift / Schedule/select / "Sunset to Sunrise".
