I have been looking for the way to remove an app from the "software update" in Mac OSX Snow Leopard. I know I have read it before but I tried googling it and it just did not return the answer I was looking for.

Anyone knows where to remove the app from software update?

Thanks

I didn't think it was possible, just untick the update box when you get an update, then it won't install.

If you don't want the update to show up in your list of updates anymore then just highlight it and press the delete key. It will not show up the next time you do an update. If you then want all the hidden updates to be shown again you need to select the "reset ignore updates" when you do an update and there isn't anything to update. I do this for all updates I don't want to waste time and bandwidth updating such as applications like Garage Band and other pre-installed apps I don't use.

For some reason, that doesn't work with my third party keyboard. But, anyone with that problem, use the Update menu's Ignore command.

It's pretty easy, yeah, but be aware that some "important" updates may show back up at a later time, so whenever it asks if you want to install updates, check to make sure.

I had to hold off on an OS X update once because of an incompatible app, and every two or three times Software Update would run, the update would be back.
