remove Safari totally

Safari is interfering with a device I have and I want it GONE. Now. Mac M1 mini. How do I totally disable Safari?

You can't. So, what is the issue and maybe there is a workaround? How is Safari interfering with a device? What device?

It is the case that Safari has become somewhat integral to the Operating System. Although you do not have to use it day to day, I don't, I don't believe you can actually remove it.

To change your default browser, you can do this;

Change the default web browser or email app on Mac - Apple Support

Choose which app opens when you click a link for a website or email address.
