My hard drive is full, mainly of photos, videos, and music...and I'm looking for an external hard drive that I can store all of my media on and still have direct access to it through my computer. I don't want to loose all the media I have on my iPhone when I sync, if I remove everything from my computer and put it on an external hard drive. Any suggestions? I have no idea if what I'm looking for even exist...

It is possible to point iTunes to your external drive. Copy your library there first, then start iTunes while pressing the Control key. Point to the external drive and you are good to go.

Change BetaVirus' post to "Option" key instead of Control and I couldn't have put it any better myself.
