Hi all,

I've just had a look in my trash can and there is a folder in there called 'Recovered files'. In it is another folder com.apple.iwork.numbers.bunch-of-letters-and-numbers and in that three files, one of which is a tiff file and looks like a style I use in a Number spreadsheet. One other is a colour profile and another a png file.

These have appeared before. I shut down today because we had a bit of lightning. They appeared when I turned back on. It's not important but I am curious as to what they are and if they are going to keep popping back every time I boot up.

Because you haven't quit Numbers (and, I suspect, your web browser) before shutting down.

Hint (in case you're just joining us from Windows): hitting the "close" (aka "red") button at the top left of an application window does not generally quit the app in the Mac world. You have to actually quit the app by pressing command-q or going to the menubar and choosing "File -> Quit".
