recording for a podcast

I am trying to record my churches sermons on my Macbook Air for a podcast and the internal speakers record all the noises around, is there a way to connect to our soundboard to reduces the noise?

Probably but we need to know more about which specific MacBook Air. Also, which soundboard do you have? The connections on that board will play a big role in determining the type of connection that can be used.
