Snubby, I started looking for a P/W Manager (PWM) back in 2017, at the time there were not a lot of choices but Dashlane and 1Password were included in my shortlist. At the time I found Dashlane very difficult to set up and 1Password too expensive. Remember back then a lot of people thought a PWM was an unnecessary luxury. I ended up settling on Enpass because; it stored all my passwords locally rather than the developer's database, it was easy to setup and it was not subscription based. That last has since changed but I still have a lifetime subscription after one (reduced price) paid for upgrade a couple of years ago. Today Enpass still fulfils all of the, "Must-have features of a good password manager" as described in the article you attached. I would add to that Passkey compatibility which I split between Apple's Passwords app and Enpass because Passwords does not yet have "catagories" or the detail of Enpass. I have no doubt that Apple's Passwords app will improve over time but for now, partly because I am not a Safari user, I currently use both Enpass and Passwords in tandem with some unavoidable duplication. I might add that Enpass also incorporates an Authenticator. "Instead of using a separate authenticator app, Enpass can generate and auto-fill authenticator codes (also called time-based one-time codes, or TOTP). This highly secure form of two-factor authentication (2FA) is based on secret keys provided to you by sites that use these codes for secure login." I'm not sure if all other PWM's have this feature (worth checking) but thanks to Enpass I have been able to eliminate the Google Authenticator app which I used to use for Facebook, Vivaldi and a number of other subscriptions.
