Hey,

Every day or two, I'll randomly get these spikes of lag. They can last between 10 to 20 minutes (sometimes longer) and make my MBP feel pretty annoying to use. Everything becomes very sluggish and choppy - things take a bit longer to open - and it just feels awful for a 2000$ device. I've already reset the SMC/NVRAM, so that should be fine.

My MBP is 2017 13" nTB with 16gb/256gb - and I have it plugged into an external 1080p monitor via HDMI.

I used EtreCheck during the most recent lag spike - it happened right after I woke up my laptop. It says performance is excellent, but it definitely does not feel that way.

EtreCheck version: 3.4.6 (460)

What is "Everything" that is slow and choppy? Is that when you are browsing, or is it other applications not related to browsing? Do those applications depend on the connectivity? In my experience random slowdowns are more from my ISP getting slow than the MBP slowing down.

Mission control, scrolling through the dock, dragging windows from one monitor to the next all feel incredibly sluggish/laggy. Apps take longer to open.

I would be checking if Logitech have actually updated drivers for your Logitech mouse. We hav e had reports of problems with High Sierra.

Next on the list be be Spotify. Also Malwarebytes for Mac bought out version 3.0.433 to over come the daemon problem. Suggest uninstalling the version you ha ve now and download current version just to be sure.
