Cause after a while it brought up a menu where I selected reinstall, progressing to selecting the partition to use and screens saying it was installing. But when it was all done doing what it was doing......the old bloated yet trusty 10.10 still boots. </p><p></p><p>The machine is a mid 2011 iMac (27"), quad i5, now 8gb ram, 1tb hdd. Originally had 10.7 when purchased new. Was upgraded to 10.8, 10.9 and then to 10.10. Recovery lists 10.9 but doesn't work. Has a small bootcamp partition with win8.1 created during 10.9. </p><p></p><p>So am I missing a step or doing something wrong? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.</p></blockquote><p></p>
