I have an april 2008 model imac and i wanna get more ram, but I don't know how many ram chip slots there are.

the model id is iMac8,1

15" MBP '06 2.33 C2D 4GB 10.7; 13" MBA '14 1.8 i7 8GB 10.11; 21" iMac '13 2.9 i5 8GB 10.11; 6S
There are 2 slots using PC2-6400 DDR2 SDRAM. Apple specs 4GB, but it can use up to 6GB.

Um, since you're gonna have to buy it, ask the store clerk or the online rep. If you're wary, ask two or three to see if you get the same answer. After all, you want to get the right one!

Snow leopard is 64 bit right (leopard 32 bit) being 64 bit, I heard that it allows you to have more that 4 gig of RAM? Also, is my iMac (April 2008 8,1) have a 64 bit processor (to run snow leopard) so I can upgrade my RAM to 8 gig.
