i just received my RAM (2GB) this morning (from Crucial). i went through all the instructions from the PB manual, i go to turn it on and it first gives me 1 beep... which means no RAM installed/detected.
I remove 1 GB to see the difference.. and re-adjust the other RAM chip and it gives me 3 beeps... which means No RAM banks passed memory testing. I tried different combinations using my original 512 MB and my new 1GB RAM chips. It ends up that it always gives me 3 beeps when i try to boot up my laptop.
what should i do?

it is definetly the correct RAM. i have the last version of the PB (the one before the MB)... meaning I have DDR2. the chips i bought are these RAM chips
