Quicktime add text to first clip

When you make a movie in QT you often add a clip on to the end of another. If you want to add some screen text to the first 5 seconds of your first clip.how do you do that??..I am using OBS for the screen recording.

If you just want to add let to the beginning of the movie, and not overlay on top of the video, do your text in Keynote and then export from Keynote as a video and add to the QT video.
