Question regarding re-occurring screen message:

Each time I boot up my iMAC, I get the following message: "To View this web content, you need to install the Java Runtime Environment"...I have done that but the message keeps appearing. How can I get rid of this?

Each time I boot up my iMAC, I get the following message: "To View this web content, you need to install the Java Runtime Environment"...I have done that but the message keeps appearing. How can I get rid of this?

I've been getting this message repeatedly despite upgrading per java's instructions (see the attached for the message that continues to come up).

Anyone know how to get rid of this?

You have some kind of adware or a java app set to start on login. Look in Systen Preferences under Users and Groups and see what Login apps you have starting.
Also try downloading and running AdwareMedic: AdwareMedic
