I have a 15" macbook Pro and when i have it plugged in charging it usually sits at 99% (0:00 time remaining until fully charged) for quite sometime before i get a green LED on the charger and a 100% battery icon..

when i unplug the charge it will then go form 99% to 100% then when I plug the charger back in it will hit 99% and go to an amber LED again.

I did notice though that with the lid closed and the computer sleeping it will infact hit a full 100% and give me a green LED on the charger.

normal?

Normal. Wouldn't worry about it.
