Question about upgrading to MacBook Pro

I have a late 2008 MacBook unibody that I will be selling soon and upgrading to a new 2010 MacBook Pro (Maybe even wait for the latest upgrade.)

I have some software that I purchased online and installed on my computer.

What is the easiest way to transfer that software over to the new computer without having any issues?

It says to connect via firewire, I'm assuming the two laptops can connect via LAN and do this as well?

As you know the 13" models don't have firewire.

Nevermind, just ran migration asst and see that LAN is an option. Thank You!
