Question about OS X upgrading to Yosemite and Time Machine

Before I upgrade to Yosemite should I unplug my Time Machine hard drive or just leave it plugged in?

late 2012 mini w/SSD
Leave it plugged in. It doesn't interfere in any way - and the list of backups shows very clearly when the upgrade was done.
