I am the proud owner of a new imac, this is the first time i have purchased a mac product and have been extremely happy up until this point. I have accessed numerous websites and have not had any issues with it, but i just tried going to by work website and it states that the network has deteceted that this machine does not have the current supported Internet explorer version. To avoid functionality problems, Microsofts internet explorer 5.5 or higher should be installed. I then went to microsoft.com to make sure i have the most current internet explorer and i do but i looked and saw that windows has a new version but it is not available for the macs. I am hoping someone can shed a little light on the subject for me and i am hoping i can still do this work from home instead of going to work to use our current windows machines. please respond if you feel you can help

There are several mac browsers that will tell your work program that it is Internet Explorer for Windows.. Im just not remembering which off the top of my head.. I think Opera might, iCab yes I believe, possibly a couple others. It's pretty lame when any web operation does not allow anybody but window users on their system when it's web based.. kind of short sighted.

Check out some of the other browsers for the Mac, that's my first and foremost piece of advice.

Cheers!
