ok what i was trying to find out is :

  1. the price listed on the apple website do they include all taxes in that price or are they added at point of sale
  2. the reason why i ask is we are going to hawaii next month
    from australia that is
  3. I have looked at the prices between both countrys and there is a saving of 400 dollars by buying when we go over
  4. we are staying for 11 days i have located a apple store in Alamoana Shopping center in Honolulu

I was also wondering if i had to pay tax on a mac book if i was a tourist or could this be bought duty free ?

im sorry if this is in the wrong forum just wondering if the above is possible thats all

thanks for any replies as well

Hi groggo!
The prices listed do NOT include tax... tax is added when you check out, if there is a "Brick-and-mortar" store in the state it is shipping to.

I'm not real sure about the duty-free or taxes to a tourist questions... I would advise you to call the Apple Store in Alamoana @ (808) 949-1075. I am sure they will be able to answer all questions in this regard.

You could always buy from MacConnection or MacMall to avoid paying sales tax. This can be an even more enticing deal if you don't have to worry about a student discount.
