I've just changed the p/w for my Apple ID via my MPB (11.4) This I did via Apple Menu > Apple ID (at the top of the screen) > Password and Security.

But can I also change the p/w for my wife's Apple ID, via my MPB in the same way? Or should she use her own iPad / or iPhone?

And once the deed is done, should I sign out of Apple ID on my MPB? Is there a security issue by not signing out?
I mean if the MPB fell into the wrong hands?

Thanks in advance for comments.

Your wife should log on as usual with one of her devices and change the password to her Apple ID rather than you doing it. If she has a separate account on your MBP, she can also change the password from her account after logging on.

There is no need to sign out of your Apple ID once the password has been changed. If you are currently using 2FA, Apple will send you verification.
