So I've had my MBP 2.66 for a month now, made the switch, love it so far! I am wanting to put windows 7 on via boot camp.

Do I need to get Norton or AVG or something once I am running windows 7? I guess what I really am asking is: Am I just as susceptible to virus/cookies/all that other bs out there (ie trojan downloader, ect) if I have W7 on my mac compared to having it on any other laptop that is W7 dedicated?

Thanks in advance :)

In short yes. But only the windows7 side of your Mac.
Wont affect the Mac OS what so ever, and no need for it

Cheers

I agree with Tattooed but I definitely recommend not installing anything Norton or AVG. Norton is "crap ware" while AVG is a resource hog that will slow the machine down.

Instead go for the free Microsoft Security Essentials. It includes AV and anti spyware/malware. Very easy to use and it self updates.

Download from here.

Regards.
