There's been post about this on various servers, i know but none have given me a long term solution.
I'm playing a mac version of COD4 so no bootcamp etc etc.
My iMac isn't the problem, the only problems I'm having are COD4 saying punkbuster is unable to initialize when i log into the game and kicking me out of servers with messages like 'no packet flow' etc etc.

I've tried loading reloading punkbuster, redownloading punkbuster, reinstalling punkbuster, deleting the punkbuster folder in the COD4 files and letting pb reload them, tried deleting and re-adding the game in pb, updating the game on pb and finally manually updating pb by downloading the files from the site and dropping them into the htm folder.

I really want to play this game but if i can't get this working what's the point, i'll just have to take it back.

Thanks for reading and any help that is given :)

Try removing the router and connect your Mac directly to the modem (assuming you have highspeed of some sort here).

If that solves it the issue is your router.

You also need to see if you can play COD4 without Punkbuster to know where the problem lies.

COD4 Definitely works without Punkbuster, I'm going to try bypassing the router now, thanks for the information, I'll post in a sec to tell you how it goes.

Ok, tried bypassing the router and was kicked from the game about 20 seconds in for "0 Minutes due to Pack loss"

Any more ideas? :p

Next I'd suggest reading through their faq. Most of the stuff there is related to windows, but some of it will be valid for Linux and OS X.

Then submit a trouble ticket to them.

...

hey,
if it still interest anyone :)
i have the same problem at the moment. wanted to play some cod2, my bootcamp is full so i tried it with os x. everything works fine expect pb! "no packet flow"
also did everything you named and looked at the evenbalance website and after some shallow research i figured that no one has an answer the problem except reinstalling or updating pb. i will try to change my bootcamp volume now i will run it on windows or try if it works in a different network...
