Might be attending the Institute of Audio Research this Fall. Even though their open house is June 2nd and Apple representatives will be there, I might swindle the parent into getting me it before then. Do you think I'll be able to take full advantage of the MBP? Or would a supped up Macbook fit my needs? I heard somewhere alot of mixing equipment conflicts with your headphone port with Apple's consumer laptop/desktops. Is this true?

I haven't had any trouble with the headphone jack. I also like the MBP have a mic port, I'm not sure if the macbooks do now or not. Also, more screen space and ports will come in handy if you're doing a lot of audio mixing!

Thanks man. MBP it is. Not sure whether or not I'll be commuting with it. (Just having merchandise like that on a NYC subway is heart attack city haha)
