I have been given a promise fasttrak ataraid5 card which I would like to put in my g4 powermac which I'm using for a file storage server, if I can get it working I can use all six drive bays to hold hard drives (taking the optical drive out) meaning I can get 12tb from sata drives (I have sata to ide adaptors) and get 1.4tb from the die channel needed for the boot drive.
The problem I'm having is I can't seem to get the raid card to work, a quick google search excluding windows and linux came up with 11 results in various languages, does anyone know if the promise fasttrak sx4000 raid card works with os x 10.5? if it does, how do I get it working?
