Problems with Apple Mail

If that checks out, run Onyx's full suite of maintenance and cleaning tools. And finally, run the Apple Hardware Test if need be. Instructions are in my signature. I also cannot emphasize enough that you need to get rid of MacKeeper. There have been too many reports of that software causing problems and while it appears to have improved somewhat in recent months, there are MUCH better tools from developers with a better rep than those clowns.</p><p></p><p>The preference list you will need to kill for Mail is found here:</p><p>[CODE][I]yourhomefolder[/I]/Library/Containers/com.apple.mail/Data/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist[/CODE]</p><p></p><p>Make sure Mail is closed; make a backup copy of that file (copy to Desktop, for example); then delete the original. Re-open Mail and see if the problem is resolved. You may lose some other preferences you have set... they will all revert to defaults.</p><p></p><p>If that doesn't work, then you may need to delete that entire Preferences folder.
