Problems connecting to certain sites

I have turned my firewall off, but no matter what browser I use, I cannot connect to certain websites. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Anything these websites have in common? Are they all https:// for instance?

No, there are no similarities between them, and none of them are https://
