I got a new Macbook Pro about a couple of weeks ago. Whenever I upload pictures onto it from my digital camera onto Preview to rotate the picture it doesn't work. I'll rotate the picture and save it, but when I open it back up it is the same way it was before I rotated it. Why is that?

Preview is apparently the default application used to open your digital camera's pictures. As the name suggests, Preview is a viewing program - that is, it's designed to display pictures, not make changes to them. If you want to modify your pictures (for example, rotate them and save the changes), you'll need to use iPhoto to open and modify them instead.
