Problem deleting an attachment in notes on my iphone

I would need a lot more information like what version of iOS are you running?
But assuming you have the latest version - to delete an attachment in notes on iOS 9.3.3 you can delete the whole note which will get all attachments. Or if it is just one item in the note - put your finger on the attachment and hold it there. A menu should appear at the top of the attachment and offer options - one of which is delete.
