Preview; copy image colour?

Hey guys.
So I am wondering if there is a way to copy an image's colour in preview i.e can I select a section of an image to copy its colour? If so, how do I do it?

Welcome to Mac-Forums..

No, Preview doesn't have that functionality. You can adjust colors of an image but you can't grab the color at a specific spot/region. You'll have to use a photo/image editing app for that..

What about the Apple Digital Color Meter.app or has Apple removed that from recent OS X versions??

Or maybe something like this or some of the comment's suggestions from here:
