hi. 
i am hoping that someone here may provide some much needed insight. i am working on this powermac, in which i've had to reinstall the os multiple times due to a hard disk update error. first off, i have run all of the other updates and have the os up to date @ 10.2.8, along with other software updates. but, i have not run the hard disk update 1.0 due to it crashing this machine the last few times i have done so. has this happened to any of you?
so, before troubleshooting from that point, i figured i would come here and throw my problem at you ppl. i'm afraid if i run the hard disk update 1.0, the system will crash and i will have to reinstall from scratch again.
btw - the symptoms of this crash is a blinking folder upon startup with a question mark in it, and a white screen prompting me to reboot.
