Powerbook won't start!

When I try to turn my mac on it goes to a screen that says restart your computer now in like 5 languages. My battery is shot and won't hold any charge, wish it was included in the recall, unfortunatly not. I'm going to try to restore, any other ideas?

You are experiencing a Kernel Panic.
