powerbook powercable

Me again!!

The pin and the metal round bit on the end of my powercable has got accidently bent (oops!). So when I plug it in it takes ages for me to 'wiggle and twist' it so that the light is green and its actually charging.

Its getting more and more difficult to get it to charge, esp. when I'm not sitting at my desk with it and move to sit on the sofa where its on my lap and not a stable surface.

I've tried to bend it back - but don't want to break or snap it further, and also its quite difficult to get it to bend. Is this a common problem?

Where can I buy a new one from and is it expensive?

I've had a quick look on apple and some other sites - but when I do a search for it nothing comes up.

Go the the online apple store and do a search for powercable its near the bottom it costs 79$$. Sorry i cant post a link but apple store links expire. Or just go to an apple retail sore and ask for one, again it will cost 79$$.

Check out eBay. Search for "PowerBook charger" and you should find a bunch of results. Most of them are priced around $30-$40.

needle nose pliers to help straiten it out?

if you are good with wiring i have a charger that went bad but the wire should still be good, i can send y ou that for like 10 bucks?
