Get a ziplock bag
fill with ice
close bag tightly
get a wash cloth if you are catious
place bag of ice on table,
place dry wash cloth of top of bag
place powerbook on top of wash cloth on top of ice bag

i didnt use a wash cloth, but didnt keep the powerbook on the bag the whole time, only till it cooled down.
condensation will get into the memory sqaure and fry the ram.

i was encoding a movie tonight and the bottom of my powerbook was scorching hot, literally
it was so hot it hurt to touch it

and now the fan isnt even on its so cold

gotta love it!

I too have problems with it getting hot to the touch and the fan coming on often now that we are getting into the warmer months.

Good idea.

I have laptop coolers for my Pentium 4 that's USB powered that keeps it from crashing. I just checked a PB doing video rendering and it does get pretty hot.
