Hello, First time poster. Happy Holidays. Have a 2 year old Dell XPS 8900 desktop running W10 which is causing me all sorts of grief. Think it's about time I seriously considered going with an Apple something. Frankly, know nothing about Apple PC's. The last one we ever had was an Apple 2e ! So, have the following very basic questions, please: a.Which model should I consider as being closest to my very typical Dell Desktop running Windows 10 ? I don't do gaming; pretty basic stuff like word processing, light spreadsheets, and internet. Don't want a Laptop. b. Is it possible to somehow transfer all of my old backed up WORD files, and others to the new Apple ? How ? Do these transfers "really" work ? Is it "practical to do" ? What won't I be able to transfer ? I use Mozilla Thunderbird now for my eMails. Can I transfer these old saved ones ? **Will I need a new eMail address ? c. Can I use my present fairly good HDMI connected monitor ? Is there an HDMI output ? Or, best to just go with an Apple Monitor ? Why ? d. Can I use my Logitech keyboard, which I really like ? e. I read somewhere that the Mac's can run both the Apple OS and also Windows 10. True ? Do they come with a pre-installed Windows 10 ? Does this switching between work well ? Caveats ? f. Are there the typical USB Ports ? What else should I be asking ? Thanks for help; much appreciated, Much thanks, Bob
