each time i sign in to mac-forums.. just after i enter ID... pop up box asks if i want to signup for newletter. i usually say no... so yesterday, i clicked on yes and entered my email. thinking that prompt would disappear. it does not.
how does one turn that off???

If you not having your login information saved, it probably thinks you are new. I know when I clear my cache, the same thing happens once, then I have it save my login information and I don't see it again.

i often clear my cache... tho i also checked the box... remember me... ill dble check again!

i often clear my cache...

Thanks for mentioning that. This is exactly what triggers the Mac-Forums Newsletter sign-up to display again. If you clear the browser cache...when you return to Mac-Forums again...it thinks it's your first time. If the cache is not cleared...then visits to Mac-Forums are "remembered"...and the pop-up will not reappear.

I just remembered, Onyx may also be clearing the cache. So if you use it, you want to disable that option.

No, it doesn't unless you specifically tell it to do so. But clearing the cache from Safari or any other browser will definitely cause Lori to show up as a new guest on our sign in page.

i dont use onyx. tho I do have safari on my devices I am using Firefox with DuckDuckGo browser.
sometimes safari pops in when i click on a bookmark i copied from safari to ff.
i do clear wen site data and history from safari every now and then.
