I was trying to install mac-osx 10.5 leopard and I went to this site
How To Install OS From DMG? gWHIZ
I followed the 2nd guys comment and when I restart, my mac is just stuck on the loading screen with that grey thing spinning!
Please can someone tell me what is wrong and how to fix it?

Why are you doing this first? Have you lost your install discs?
Secondly, have you put the .dmg on a separate partition? You need to for it to work.

my friend had the disc for 10.5 and he had to leave soon so I copied the .DMG file to my desktop and I followed that guys instructions.
I'm not sure. There was only one drive, the Macintosh HD.

Ok, this is a dubious practice so until a Mod says so, I can't discuss it any longer.

Back to my old 2.2GHz C2D MB after selling my MBP and wondering what my next Mac will be :)
Well, to get there before a mod does to save you the wait.
The install disc is licensed to your "friend" if it is his disc, for use on one mac (his mac) and not for use on your mac.
If you want Leopard or Snow Leopard you have to pay for it, so in short, you will not be assisted with this.

'Nuff said.

I'd suggest you try using the disc that came with your computer to reinstall the OS until you can obtain a license you own for installing Leopard or Snow Leopard..

If you own a license for Leopard, you can send me a PM.
