Please HELP: Printer unistalling itslelf

Im not sure exactly what is happening. But sometimes when I switch on the machine the printer is no longer there. I have to reinstall it again.

Also I have a program which has suddenly stopped working.

Any advice would be appreciated.

hey kam..give us some more info, printer model, type, the programs that are missing any error messages...we need more information to help you out better bud

Thanks for the surprisingly quick reply.
The printer is the Epson Photo 830.
It is a USB printer. Umm. I instrall it as normal but sometimes when u switch on the machine the printer is no longer in my list at all. I have to re-install it from scratch.
