Hi,

One for the musically minded, I think!
I had an excellent shareware program for Windows called SPT-667 Phrase Trainer which would allow you to raise or lower the pitch of a song without changing the speed of playback.
It did other things too (you could also change the speed without altering the pitch!), but that was the main reason I used it! A lot of guitar bands would downtune their instruments a semitone and this saved me having to retune my guitar if I wanted to play along!

Here's a link to it;
Software phrase trainer-tool for guitarists , musicians

Does anyone know of something similar for the Mac? It was a great little program and one of the few things I miss from Windows!

Thanks
Mark

Thanks for that! I shall have a look. I assume you can also RAISE the pitch by a tone or semitone as that's specifically what I'd need to do!

The Phrase Trainer also had an export function where you could record the mp3's at their altered pitch and then export to itunes! Does this do that? If not are there any others that do? It wouldn't be a deal breaker but it would be nice to have the export function!

Ta!

You can raise or lower the pitch. It will slow down up to 20% of normal speed without changing the pitch. Haven't used it in awhile, but don't believe it has an export function.

There are several apps that would allow for recording the playback of SlowDowner. Don't do any of that myself, so others may have some better suggestions.

Thanks for the pointer! It's a little pricier than the Phrase Trainer but will bear it in mind!

Ta!
