Dawn, Pigeon Bay, Banks Peninsula, New Zealand, 6.15 am, looking due north through to the mouth of the bay. Within 5 minutes that sky had turned to grey and yellow as the sun emerged over the horizon (to the NE). Shame about that power pole but I've lived with it for over 40 years. Fuji Finepix S3000.

This was on my canon ixus 60, basic point and shoot whilst I was out with my friend in his subaru impreza v-limited, he was out testing his new dslr and the difference between our shots really are vast, especially since he also invested in a polarization filter lens.

beambeam, despite it just being a point and shoot, i do like the pic. it's just a tad washed out, but i like the faded, nearly monochromatic, background with the blue subbie - the door of similar color is a really nice touch, and i like the composition.
