Must be a sign of the growing materialism of our times. It used to be called the "Garden of the Gods". ;)

On a CC note, this scene looks to me like a prime candidate for HDR. Such a beautiful setting in my mind cries out for vibrant colors, orange glow from the sun, brilliant blue of the sky and then the foliage.

LOL, yeah I should proof read before submitting! "Garden of the Goods" is pretty much any mall or Wal-Mart in every town and city.

I don't know if it's my work computer screen or the conversion, but it definitely looks flatter than the RAW file did in LR3.

Might be your host site for the image too. I ran into this a couple of months ago with a rose that didn't look nearly as good posted as it did on my computer. Doug helped me sort it out, turned out to be the compression the host was using that was killing my image.
Now I am using Photobucket and all is well with the world.

Good eye! Looks like one of those Honda trucks.

Maybe I should try to clone it out or something.

Don't think that should be hard. In this case it doesn't matter really because I recon you do this as a hobby. If you want to print that image for a commercial its a bigger deal.

Schweb - bribery will not help.

There's an old story about a guy who was caught by a traffic cam and received a speeding ticket a few days later with a photograph of his license plate and his speed. He wrote out a check for the ticketed amount, photographed it and mailed in the photograph of the check to the magistrate. A few days later he received a reply - a photograph of a pair of handcuffs.

Compare it in different browsers - you'll be surprised how much the colour changes just from that. Compression from LR3 has a lot to do with it but so does the viewing medium - Quick Look is particularly terrible at correctly rendering colour.

@quocamole: could I trouble you for a higher resolution? I'd like to use this as a wallpaper if you wouldn't mind :)
