2.0ghz 15" Core Duo MBP
.... The major down side of unix. EVERYTHING has permissions... And changing those permissions, even when you have authority to is a no go. Any advice???

I"m trying to upload the files for my website... they get as far as ftp, but can't be accessed, despite changing permissions...

Maybe I should stick to Windows for website management? Any ideas are appreciated.

Be off line and log in as root, change the permissions you need then log back on as regular user. Be very careful about the permissions you grant.
