I have a Mac Mini running Snow Leopard 10.6.2. I'm finding a lot of websites with documents in PDF format do not work correctly with the Mac preview software. Is there an Adobe version for Mac 10.6.2 available for download?

Just out of curiosity what problems are you having with PDFs? I have found very few that don't open properly in Preview.

Some don't. I was sent a document that, when I try to open it in Preview, I am told that I need to open it in Adobe Reader. It's a confidential document so it's likely been created using some features just not available in Preview.

I'm trying to print out a form from my prescription provider's page. The form is garbled in Firefox and Safari. The site does state Adobe is required. It works fine on my Microsoft netbook. There are also some sites where I can't print out statements. This is very frustrating. Should I download Adobe? On the Adobe site it only goes up to 10.6.0.

I've used Adobe Reader on 10.6.2. Works fine here. You should be ok.

EDIT: Not fast enough. I'm slow on the keyboard today...

I wasn't questioning whether there were problems I was wondering if there was a pattern to the problems. One of the sites I need to use for work behaves fine in Safari until I try to print.

Until recently everything has worked fine. Even though the files have previously loaded fine in Preview I know that printing relies on Adobe Reader at least being installed. The last time I tried to remove it something similar happened.

This was the first time I've ever seen this happen with a PDF so I think it's safe to say that there is no pattern. :)
