PB G3 DVD? Lombard 400

I just got 2 more G3 Lombards 400 with DVD players and they are recognized as DVD's but in OS X they won't play any DVD's. When you goto help it says DVD is disabled or not loaded. Any suggestions? The underside of the Lombard says DVD and they are 400's?!?!
