Password Protected Apples

so lets just say if and when i obtain my soon to be ex husband's imac......
his imac is password protected. is there anyway i can like reset the whole computer so it'll erase the need to have a password. or will it just sit on my table like a trophy ? lol.

You can reformat it as long as you have the discs. Or you can buy install discs if you don't get those.

None of the information will be available, but you will get a nice clean Mac.

Actually, if you get or buy the systems disc you can boot from it and reset the password for his account and then have access to all of his info should you desire to.

Just a thought.

Ditto.

Any anyways if I was your husband I'd do an erase and install of the system on it. After I've backed up the data to a portable hard driver. As yeah best have the data stored safe somewhere as he might not know when he'll be losing his possessions.

Anyways if you do get the imac, have fun with it :)
