No PartyPoker for us Lions I too have this problem (never owned a Mac before the 27 incher). After numerous emails to PartyPoker tech support I think that at this point it is safe to say that we are out of luck. (the emails are provided below-in reverse order) I am running the most current versions of Flash and Java (as of today 2 Sept 2011) Dear Bob, Thank you for contacting Customer Service. I have checked the matter with our technical team. What they advise is to make sure you are using the latest java version. If this version is not available on your PC, please download it from the following page: Java for OS X Lion After you finish the download, please try again to access our lobby. Unfortunately, Lion OS is not supported from our software. However, we are working on a version which will support this operating system as well. In case you have further questions, we will be more than happy to assist you. We are available 24/7 by e-mail, live chat and phone. Thank you for choosing us as your online gaming site. Best regards, Sonya Customer Service Original Message Follows: ------------------------ Thank you for your reply but I am still unsuccessful. 1. I cleared the cache and deleted all of the cookies. 2. With the firewall turned OFF, PartyPoker/anywhere still won't load. Your description of how to configure the ports: After that please follow these steps in order to configure the firewall (the ports 2147 and 443 are used by our program): 1. From the Apple menu, choose System Preferences. 2. From the View menu, choose Sharing. 3. Click the Firewall tab. 4. Click New. 5. From the Port Name pop-up menu, choose Other. 6. In the Port Number, Range or Series field, type in the following: 2147, 443 7. In the Description field type in: PartyPoker The above description does not match my OS X 10.7.1. There is NO Firewall option here. The Firewall section is in System Preferences/Personal/Security& Privacy Here I can turn the firewall on or off. I would think that with the firewall OFF, there shouldn't be a firewall issue but PartyPoker/anwhere still doesn't load. It says loading please wait but it never does. Ok, so if I turn the firewall ON, there is an advanced tab that has 3 check boxes: 1. Block all incoming connections (not checked) 2. Automatically allow signed software to receive incoming connections (this was checked by default) 3. Enable Stealth mode (not checked) There is also a blank window with a + sign that shows a "tree" of all my files, applications, folders, desktop etc etc. I assume that if PartyPoker was an application I could click on it and assign the ports that you suggest, but obviously I can't do that because it isn't an application. So, at this point I don't know what to do next. Anxiously await your reply. Please note that the previous e-mail you received is sent as an automatic message from our system (it was not sent by a customer service agent).
